Opera 10 Beta – A smooth and finger friendly Opera browser
Opera just released the new beta version of the windows mobile version of Opera Mobile. Version 10 brings a whole new browsing experience to windows mobile. The interface has got a make over and it looks and feels great. Flash support is missing out of the box.
Some great Features :
- The much adored desktop version feature Speed Dial come to the mobile version of Opera and now you can set up to 9 sites for quick access from the home page.
- A new Tab Manager with thumbnail preview is a great new feature.
- Built in Password manager to automatically save username and passwords and autofill these upon page load.
- Opera Turbo allows for faster page loads and less data charges for you.
- And the usual bells and whistles like bookmark manager, history, double tap to zoom in, smooth scroll for webpages, landscape support, etc…
The beta version is Free so give it a shot, there are some great new features in the new version but the lack of Flash is a big drawback.

Browsers don't support Flash, they support plugins. And Flash is only available as a plugin. So it's up to Adobe to bring a proper Flash to WM.
Thanks for the review. I like a lot about 10 Beta, but here are a couple things I don't like. It no longer gives me the option to minimize rather than closing. Also, mobile versions of websites don't seem to work very well compared to Opera 9, at least on my phone (see m.espn.com).
I love the new speed dial and especially the location of the refresh/stop button.
I am testing this out on a Samsung Omnia (i910).
The occasional crash, usually resolved instantly by the excellent recovery features.

Opera 9 gave me the ability to click on a link and it usually automatically opened up in a new tab. Opera 10 only opens up in the current tab unless you specifically click, hold and select “open in new tab” (kind of annoying) …. other than that, I LOVE OPERA 10 BETA!!
I don’t understand why the double click to zoom option was removed. That was a great feature!!!
Good information. These days I just got a Samsung Omnia SCH-i910 inside the mail from ebay, and it at present seems that it’s at stock settings for your Verizon Network. I prepare to use this phone on Metro PCS. I also wish to place Windows Mobile 6.five on right here, but I’m not positive which purchase I should do this in. Ought to I consider it to Metro PCS as is and have it activated, and be able to afterwards flash the ROM with 6.five? Or should I modify the ROM first and then acquire it to Metro PCS? I’ve been browsing around and I’m unable to discover the response to this.
