Contact Changer 1.0 – Sort all your contacts with First Name, Last Name with one click on WM6.5
If you want to sort all your contact with First Name first there are no easy way way to do it other than to manually edit each contact and select First Name first from the File As field. This is annoying especially if your contact list is huge. Which usually is the case with most of us. Today we look at a nifty little app from Øystein Kalvø Stephansen called Contact Changer that makes this task all too easy.

Contact Changer is a simple app that does one thing and that is, it allows you to sort your contacts. The app gives you 3 option to sort your contacts on your windows mobile phone.
Options :
- FirstName MiddleName LastName
- LastName, FirstName
- FirstName LastName
Once you launch the app select the way you want to sort your contacts and press Change and that is it. One added functionality offered by the app is the ability to append the name of the company to the Name of the Contact. To enable this feature just go in to Menu > Settings once you launch the app.
For $0.99 this app offers great value for money and gives the users a feature that should have been built in to the OS. But since it was not added, now There is a CAB for that…

Pro :
- Provides the user with a simple and easy way to sort Contacts
- Great Value for Money
Cons :
- Nothing really, other than the fact the app does one thing and one thing only
Possible Improvements:
- Would be great if the app could sync Contact pics from Facebook to your Contact list
Since this app is limited to just one feature I don’t think it is fair to give the usual rating that we follow for other apps but instead I will just give the app an overall rating.

I need it to change FileAs to CompanyName, LastName, FirstName
Your best bet is to send a feature request to the developer via developer@stephansen.org They might add it in their future versions
Thanks for sharing this app. I had to do this the hard way when I got the device. I did not know there were software that can do this.
The only problem with Contact Changer is that if you have a business listed by Company Name and it does not have a Firt Name Last name, the diplay will show “Unnamed” in your Contacts. This needs to be fixed.
Never Mind… I figured out what I did wrong. Great Program!
