I recently came across this amazing app on the Windows Mobile Marketplace. The 5001 Amazing Facts Lite app has got a great User Interface. Its is not one of those app that looks like it was quickly put together and put on the marketplace. The devs have created an elegant and intuitive UI for the app that is a treat to use. We hope more developers follow this example and create more apps with such great UI.

The app lets you browser through the facts with a nice flick gesture. Left > Right for the Previous entry and Right > Left for the next entry the app also has a nice sound to go along with the flick animation. There is a small star at the lower right of each entry clicking on it will add that fact to the favorite list, tapping on it gain takes it off the list. The app can also start off from the last fact that was read. Search via keyword is another feature available to the user. You can also quickly go through your favorites which can be cleared using the settings menu.

You can also toggle the sound and randomize the facts using the settings option. The app shows random backgrounds with the facts, these are not related to the facts but if there were it would have be so much more fun. The app also allows you to share the facts with your friends via email. I would have loved to see a share via Facebook and Twitter option in there as well.

The lite version of the app comes with 60 different fun facts and is free from the marketplace the paid version is available for $1.99 and has got 5001 fun facts for you to learn or share with your friends.
