I Left My Phone at Home 1.3.0 – get your SMS, appointments and missed call info from your device with out physical access to it
I Left My Phone at Home is essentially a data-retrieval and phone-monitoring app, which is useful as a backup in case you find you do not have your phone with you. When you have discovered you are “sans phone”, you can login in online from a computer to see your phone messages, battery life of the unit, and other information. Though I Left My Phone at Home would likely not be something you access often, you never know when you might need it. Perhaps it should be marketed as stress-relieving program, as the app could very well save the day!
The app has got am impressive Features list
- Set an automatic away message to be sent to all missed calls and text messages when you don’t have your device ( toggle this from the web app )
- You can get info on all missed calls and text messages
- Reply to text messages by simply typing a response from the web app, if your carrier supports text-to-voice capability you can even reply to your missed calls
- Get info on your upcoming appointments
The app costs a one time fee of $4.99. There is NO subscription fees. According to the developer with version 1.3.0 the app brings International phone support. We tried it from the US. The Marketplace version is 1.2 ( when this preview was posted ) and might get updated soon.
Update : The developer just sent us the following info :
1.4 is only a few weeks away, with lots of new features. 1.3 is a *free* upgrade to anyone with 1.2 – they just have to email the developer if they purchased it from Marketplace
Tested On : HTC Touch Pro (CDMA)
Pros :
- Simple interface
- Register as many phones as you want
- Price
- Unlimited Messages
- Can respond to messages and calls by typing a response
Cons :
- Must always be running in the background (this is not a design flaw)
Possible Improvements :
- Ability to view more voicemail information
- Could be a little more finger friendly, but not bad
Get it from the developer’s Download Page or Get it from Handango
