Group SMS 1.0 – send SMS to multiple groups of contacts on windows phone
Group SMS is a simple app that allows the user to send a single SMS to multiple contacts quite easily. Is this something that you should spend your money on read on to see what this app offers and if it is worth the buy.
GroupSMS
Group SMS is a small program that allows the user to send texts to preset groups of multiple contacts. Groups can be given any name and can theoretically include any number of contacts. The app will automatically pick out the contacts based on the groups you have set in your stock contacts app. You can create, edit and delete groups inside the applications and they are all stored as Categories in Outlook so they are synced between your devices if you are running MyPhone/Exchange or wired sync with Outlook on a PC. I tested the program by attempting to send one text to twenty contacts at once by combining 2 groups of 10 contacts, and it appears to have worked quite smoothly. A nice program, but rather pricey at $3.99 USD.
Saijo George Edit : I am currently on custom WM6.5.3 ( ENERGY ROM by the legendary nrgz28 ) and it has a built in group sms option, but if you are using an older OS and need to send sms to multiple group of contacts then this is definitely worth the look. Unfortunately there is no Demo version.

- easy, simple to use
- can save, edit, and name multiple groups
- takes up very little memory space
Cons
- expensive
Possible Improvements
I am not sure if its possible but if the developer could integrate the app with the phone’s stock sms app, instead of having to be opened separately then this app would be a lot more attractive to the end user.

I tried to send multiple SMS from a sudden (the purpose of this application), so I wanted to create a group, but when selecting some contacts with multiple numbers, the application opens window that asks you to select the number you want to send your SMS is the time to click “done”, to validate that the application plant systematically.
I will remove it from my iPhone!
